Two key factors for success that I want to bring to your attention: Attitude and Adaptability.
Attitude is defined as "a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something; typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior." Our word "attitude" is derived from the Latin word "aptus" which means "fit; fitness; posture". Through these definitions we can gather that our attitude is simply the posture that we've settled into. We choose this! And we choose everyday. Do we select a posture that declares "I can" or "I can't"? Do we pick an attitude of "We will find a way" or "There is no way"? Will I choose to be optimistic or pessimistic...positive or negative...hopeful or doubtful? Whatever I am, I CHOSE IT.
It is so important what attitude we choose because our attitude impacts our adaptability. Life is moving and therefore always changing, and successful transition demands adaptability! Everyone has the ability to adapt, but those who display adaptability must have the right attitude. Why? Your attitude is what allows you to see a better, more effective way! The wrong attitude states, "Well that's the way we've always done it," and eliminates the possibility of adaptability. By resisting change we remain stuck with the same problems, issues, and limitations of our past.
The potential of your future depends on your attitude and adaptability today! Let's make sure that our posture is correct so that we can change whatever needs to be changed with optimism, faith, and enthusiasm.
