Phillip Deas
Phillip Deas
At age eighteen, Phillip had an encounter with God that created a desire to live a life completely sold out to the purpose of God. This experience sparked a passion inside of him to see others reach their God given potential. Phillip's greatest joy is seeing people’s lives transformed by the truth of God’s Word and then watching them impact their world.
After winning multiple state championships and being named an All-American quarterback in high school, Phillip received a scholarship to play at the University of North Carolina. While in college, his passion for ministry began. Through establishing a campus bible study, he saw many of his peers dedicate their lives to following Christ.
In 2001, he joined the Community Church staff as a youth pastor. In 2004, Phillip married Destiny Duron. They have together visited over 25 different countries, preaching in most of them. Phillip and Destiny became the Lead Pastors of Northpoint Community Church in 2013. Together they serve the vision of Pastor Denny and DeAnza Duron by expanding the reach of the Community Church family.
Phillip and Destiny believe that God has called all of us to be servant leaders inside the church and out. Their mission as a couple and as a church is to create Christ-centered, culture-changing community. They have two adorable daughters, Carolina Lee and Julietta Marie.
What is an Everyday Champion?
What is an Everyday Champion?
You can learn how to think like an overcomer, and identify as a survivor, and become someone who never quits. You can live in such a way that you bring eternal importance and significance into every day. The vision of Everyday Champion is to help everyone find significance in the day-to-day. To discover the champion that is inside of every believer because we know THE Champion.
Through small, daily habits, everyone can reach their potential and accomplish the will of God on the earth. Grabbing ahold of the championship mindset will see to it that the great commission is fulfilled and the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, etc) are operating in all of us.
We believe the answer is wrapped up in one verse.
"We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus,
THE CHAMPION
who initiates and perfects our faith."
Hebrews 12:2
