There were no dull moments in the Gospels. There were crowds and miracles. There were conversations and parables. There were storms and sinners. There was opposition and betrayal. There was tough teachings and tables turned over. Lots and lots of action. But no dull moments.

Some might interject that we are simply reading the highlight reel of three years of ministry, but John writes at the end of his gospel, "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." WOW! Jesus had so many things happening around him all the time. He was healing, teaching, releasing, restoring, and declaring truth everywhere he went. And interestingly enough, the action we read about in the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) simply continues into the Book of Acts. Radical sacrifice and salvations. Signs and wonders. Supernatural power and authority. Never seemed to be a dull moment as the Church was growing.

I see too many dull days and weeks in my life, and I am ready for more action.
